The UK Government this week stated that only do they support the formal integration of mediation within the civil justice system but they also believe in the value of mediation to help parties achieve swift, effective, and consensual resolutions across all jurisdictions. To this end, the Government is proposing to support the UK’s intention to ratify the UN Convention on International Settlement Agreements (The Singapore Convention). All contributing to their aim of making mediation an essential part of the modern justice system.
