Michel Kallipetis QC was an appointed Observer for the International Academy of Mediators and The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators to the UNCITRAL Working Group II meeting in Vienna in September 2016 and in New York in February 2017 to discuss the proposed Convention/Model Law on the enforcement of international commercial mediation settlement agreements and contributed to the drafting of the final Singapore Convention in 2018.

It is due to be signed in Singapore on 1 August 2019 and will come into effect six months after at least three states have ratified it.
